(Fill in all the bolded words to finish the story.)

Hey there! I’m Rylie. I work as an urban park ranger and spend my days patrolling the Alder Ridge Reservoir. Yesterday, I noticed the water level had (verb) overnight, leaving the fish and (adjective) creatures struggling to swim.

As I started to investigate, I stumbled upon (number) (adjective) footprints leading away from the water’s edge. Of course, I had to investigate.

The footprints led me to a (adjective) treehouse hidden in the woods. I carefully climbed the (adjective) ladder and peeked inside. To my surprise, I saw a (adjective) man wearing a (adjective) swimsuit standing next to a (adjective) bathtub filled with water.

”Excuse me, sir,” I said, “what are you doing here?”

The man replied, “Oh, hi there! I’m just using the water from the reservoir to fill up my bathtub. It’s much cheaper than paying for water at home!”

I couldn’t help but burst out laughing. I had stumbled upon the world’s (adjective) water thief!
